Don't play in snow.

Don't jump in the deep end.
Work always trumps play.
TV and games will sour your mind.

Avoid all streets with neon signs.

Relentless pounding of the drum
Sleepless nights, spiral sun
Broken waves, crooked shore
The pan-handler cackling for more

Hissing cats crying home
Rotten dog wandering alone
Shattered glass, littered lives
Shelter never, covered eyes

Mumbled yells echo from the alley
Helpless blasts, death count tally
Sewer vents, city fog
Blue lights, another hog.

Please come and entertain me
I long for it so
I need action, adventure
Endless music you know
I need to sing along
Recite lines
Laugh at jokes
Life is nothing without entertainment
